My name is Kara Ussery, and I am a graduate student specializing in Technical Writing. With a strong foundation in both writing and editing, I excel in making complex concepts accessible through clear, concise communication. My academic journey—spanning from earning my B.A. in Liberal Studies with an English Literature minor, to pursuing my M.A. in Technical and Professional Writing—has equipped me with exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Professionally, I have applied these abilities in various roles, most recently as a Technical Writing Intern at Georgia Tech’s Office of Technology Licensing, where I leveraged AI tools to streamline marketing and improve decision-making processes.

In addition to my technical skills, I am highly adaptable and dedicated to continuous learning. My experiences in roles such as underwriter at GEICO and assistant housing manager at Yellowstone National Park have strengthened my leadership, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
